Some Favorites for 2021, part 2
Speed Snake par EVOL
Robotic experimental drone. Listen to this and (try to) read a Kenji Siratori book. Enjoy. Or not.
Let It Warp par Turner Williams Jr.
About "Let It Warp", Williams says "This music was shaped by the thirty-two winds of Marseille: Well, i do live here, and i've never heard of 32 winds ? One is fucking annoying enough! Turner Williams makes improvisation music with his electric "shahi baajas".... It is strangely soothing, intriguing and there is something in his music that keeps you hypnotized, for whatever reason! Turner brought Alabama to France, who can blame him? From South to South....
Treacherous Smile by Appropriate Savagery, and the disquieting Night The Door Opened by The Palladists
You know what my favorite labels are? I can't even tell you, there are too many out there.. Yet, Audio. Visuals. Atmospheres is on my top list. Niels Geybels is doing such a great job! How can you pick just one favorite from this exciting label? Impossible. But I have to chose, right? I could have chosen False Moniker or Sequences (essential bands of the label), but it would have been too easy! Try the slightly noisy Behind The Rope, Your Treacherous Smile by Appropriate Savagery, and the disquieting Night The Door Opened by The Palladists
1221 par Andrew Liles
Sounds like it's kind of obvious, but what did Andrew Liles was exicting AF! One track for each month of the year. And listen to this!! Who said that Andrew Liles couldn't make relaxing music? Man, i'm just looking forward to seeing this in a physical copy!!
EP par Yearner & Til Det Bergens Skyggene
Now THIS! This was unexpected!!! Unreleased tracks from Til Det Bergens Skyggene!!!!?? Are you fucking kidding me Voldsom? One of my favorite DS Label offering new tracks from one of the best Dungeon Synth band ever? Best news of the year! THIS IS MY ABOSLUTE FUCKING EPOTY !!!!!!! GO GET IT!!! YOU NEED DUNGEON SYNTH! THE WORLD NEEDS DUNGEON SYNTH!
ONWARD TO THE SHADOWS OF THE MOUNTAINS!!!!!

Some Favorites for 2021, part 1
Tales In Scrimshaw
par Thomas Tyler
People around me don't understand why I am fascinated with HNW. Can i blame them? It seems like the most annoying music style ever. Yet, some people manage to add something intersting in all that noise surrounding us. Thomas Tyler does it well. Specifically in the second track where noise is not just noise. It is urban and decadent, ambient and terrific.
Subject X Object par Al Lover
Trip-hop, experimental electro beats by this underrated artist. Do you need more? Never heard something that powerful since Donuts. (well, maybe not, but man, this is excellent)
M.Willet - Loops For Reading
par M.Willet
Some New-Age Ambient for.. readers? Well TBH, though I read and listen to music A LOT, I don't like listening to music while reading. This album is divided into 2 tracks, the first one being soothing, second one.. disquieting, more dark ambient. Simple yet efficient.
AE
par DOMINGAE
First, this is not a remix album of Gantz Graf, Second, this is not Autechre. Ok, maybe the cover made you think so, but this is a solo project from a Föllakzoid member. This is Dark and Ambient without being Dark Ambient. As said in the description "Æ is a result of said experimentation, the dissolution of preconceived notions to create a minimal sound yet rich in textures."
Panor i flera delar
par Mauvet Mauve
OMFG, this one is sooo good, don't let this pass! This is a fucking MUST HAVE!! Fans of lo-fi electro and early Tangerine Dream, the cassette is available through 2 different Labels, Brugmanziah and Vermignosis
